TOGENASHI TOGEARIis《GIRLS BAND CRY》is a band appearing in the series and its derivative works, as well as a real-life girl band under the project.
In the TV anime, the band's predecessors were新川崎（仮）and beni-shouga.
Introduction
The band name in the logo can be split into TOGE-If binary is used to represent presence or absence, the band name can be abbreviated as toge0toge1.[2]
In the TV anime, the band name was improvised by Nina based on the clothes worn by an audience member. The clothes worn by the audience member had "
The band name in katakana within the icon "トゲナシトゲアリ" is intentionally designed to give a thorny feeling.
The band's musical style is pop-punk.It is worth mentioning that all of the band's songs have only two choruses, meaning they go directly into the bridge after the second verse.

History
2021
- On June 27, Universal Music, Toei Animation, and agehasprings announced the "Girl's Rock Audition" to recruit members for a new band project. The band formed through this audition was TOGENASHI TOGEARI.
2022
- In February, the casting for the four members other than the vocalist Rina was confirmed, and band practice began with this lineup.
- In July, Rina was confirmed to join the band.
2023
- On May 29, the voice actors for the five members of TOGENASHI TOGEARI were officially announced, along with the 3DMV for their first original song.
- On July 26, the 1st single was officially released, and an online autograph session was held on the 29th of the same month.
- On September 14, an unofficial concert "TOGENASHI TOGEARI Training: Open Practice LIVE" was held as a rehearsal for their first public performance a week later.[3]
- On September 23, they were scheduled to perform at NAKAYOSHI FES. 2023, but the appearance was canceled due to Yuri contracting COVID-19, meaning what would have been their first actual official performance unfortunately could not take place as planned.
2024
- On March 16, their first one-man live was held in Yokohama.『薄明の序奏』。
- On July 12, announcedMireiandNatsuActivities were suspended due to poor health, and all subsequent performances and activities were conducted as a 3-member group or with support musicians.
- On September 13, their second one-man live was held in Kawasaki.『凛音の理』。
