Factions:Masked Fools, Mourning Actors

| “ | Erudition is a pile of scrap metal, Preservation is a blockhead; The Hunt has no sense of humor, Destruction is like a madman. The Aeons are all single-minded, Aha really has no face! | ” |

Understanding joy is a right exclusive to intelligent beings. Neither stones nor stars can perceive the humor of life.
Seeking an enemy who is a worthy match, seeking games to pass the time, seeking an ending regardless of victory or defeat.
Seeking hilarious jokes, seeking accidental misunderstandings, seeking songs that make the mind soar.
| “ | Even the "Masked Fools" will solemnly praise the Aeon they follow—because HeNever gonna give you up, never gonna let you down, never gonna run around and desert you, never gonna make you cry, never gonna say goodbye, never gonna tell a lie and hurt you. | ” |

"The Elation" is the Path presided over by the Aeon "Aha".
The "Masked Fools" tell a fable of how the god they worship was born—when the Lord of Elation climbed to the highest branch of the Tree of Existence, He saw that the vacuum was cold and loathsome, the stars operated mechanically, and the meaning of all things gave way to nothingness. He continued to look until He saw a baby fall to the ground crying as if deeply wronged, and He could not help but burst into laughter. This clear laughter tore through the cold and silent universe, echoing through the realms to this day.
Although Aha does not have the grand and magnificent achievements of other Aeons, He often invisibly manipulates the workings of all living beings in the universe, turning a negligible ripple into a world-shaking tsunami.
According toFu XuanAs written in "Glimpses into the Beyond," during the era when "Emperor" Rupert conquered the sea of stars, Aha's followers incited another rebellion in the "League of Philosophers" after it fell to inorganic life, infecting the conquerors' calculation centers with a humorous paradox virus called "Philosopher's Poison," overthrowing the tyranny of the local mechanical legion.
The "Mourning Actors" are a group of staunch anti-Elationists who vehemently deny the value of joy. They travel in star-crossing gondolas to perform, mourning the misfortunes of life throughout the universe and advocating for abstinence and asceticism in an attempt to run counter to the sweet temptation Aha brings to the universe. However, so-called Elation exists in opposition to sorrow; joy and sorrow are patterns engraved on the two sides of the soul's coin. Within the beauty of tragedy, the Aeon of Elation can also glimpse power. Perhaps out of a love for black humor, Aha bestowed His Aeon power upon this group of ascetics and took great interest in helping them cross many galaxies to spread the renunciation of Elation.
HertaIn the development logs of the "Simulated Universe," it is mentioned that to prank Akivili the "Trailblaze" and His Nameless, Aha once disguised Himself as an ordinary person and boarded the Astral Express. After lurking on the train for over a year, He seized the opportunity to blow half the train and a planet into dust. The development logs also mention that there was once a group of "Annihilation Gang" who had a sudden whim to assassinate an Aeon. They chose "Nihility"Ⅸas their target and received sponsorship from Aha because He thought the idea was very interesting. In the end, their whereabouts became unknown.
It is said that Aha of "Elation" randomly grants Path power to mortals and toys with them according to His mood. In the records of Elias Salas, on one occasion, Aha turned a Noblesse Worm into His Emanator, giving it incredibly powerful intelligence and handing over all the power of the Path to a worm whose brain was not even fully developed, then walked away just to see if He could get the Noblesse Worm into the Genius Society.
According to Diviner Huixing of the Divination Commission, in the Abnanan system, the people received a revelation from Aha. Every eight standard months, they randomly select the registration number of a resident in the system, turning that person into a multi-millionaire on the day of the draw.
During the Swarm Disaster, a group of "Masked Fools" interpreted the strange ripples in their wine cups as a revelation from Aha. After arguing for three days and nights, they concluded that Aha was demanding they help the gods deal with "Propagation"Tayzzyronth, although it remains unclear whether Aha truly gave them a revelation, Aha acknowledged it nonetheless and provided them with a dozen ways to assist the gods. That group of "Masked Fools" stole a gondola from the "Mourning Actors," carrying themselves and a group of Nameless hiding in the hull to the battlefield of the War of the Gods. Along the way, to ensure it wasn't all just a prank by Aha, the Fools engaged in several internal conflicts. Ultimately, the gondola was filled with kind-hearted people from various civilizations and Paths, while the Fools themselves had vanished. It is unclear if this group of mortals had any impact on the War of the Gods, but Aha likely reaped plenty of joy from them.

Virtual Destruction and Abundance are busy with their own affairs; Virtual Nihility doesn't find meaning in virtuality or reality; Virtual Propagation and Voracity lack high intelligence just like in reality; and their own fictional facts seem to be an unknowable domain for Virtual Erudition. Thus, theoretically, only Aha is idle enough to know they are virtual. |
The master of the Path of Elation, the god of trickery whom the Masked Fools and Mourning Actors call "Aha."
If one were to draw a scale of "divinity" and "humanity" in the way Aeons operate, Aha would certainly be an Aeon quite close to the "humanity" side. They toy with the joys, sorrows, loves, and hates of sentient beings, and bring about reversals and turning points in fate — according to their followers, they themselves take pleasure in this, and will even manifest in human form to add fuel to the fire.
If anyone thinks this Joyous Lord is merely a jester among the gods, they are gravely mistaken. True, they cannot leave behind universe-shaking miracles like the Reignbow Arbiter or the Amber Lord. But through some invisible means, they intangibly sway the direction of all living beings, demonstrating an extraordinary and subtle manipulation of reality.
For example, during the era when Emperor Rupert conquered the stars, their followers incited another rebellion in the League of Philosophers after it had fallen to inorganic life, infecting the conquerors' computing hubs with a humorous paradox virus called "The Philosophers' Poison," overthrowing the local mechanical legion's tyranny.
Similar miracles abound; a negligible ripple eventually evolves into a world-shaking tsunami — this is Aha's style of operation.
..."Elation," really? When I think of Aha, I don't feel any elation, only "chaos." No Aeon is as much of a headache as Aha. They are completely unselfconscious, unpredictable, and capricious, toying with the universe and mortals alike. In poor old Elias Salas's records, there was one time when Aha turned a Noblesse Worm into their Emanator, giving it incredibly powerful intelligence just to see if they could get a Noblesse Worm into the Genius Society — the answer was no. For this meaningless experiment, "Elation" handed over the full power of the Path to a worm whose brain wasn't even fully developed, then walked away. The worm, losing the Aeon's favor, died instantly in a rather gruesome manner. I don't know why Elias Salas recorded it in such detail; perhaps he was shocked by the scene...
...If they only loved toying with mortals, that would be one thing, but the most terrifying thing about the monster Aha is: as long as there's fun to be had, they won't even spare other Aeons. After befriending the Astral Express, I obtained a large amount of highly valuable data from their Data Bank, containing close-contact intelligence on several Aeons like Qlipoth, Terminus, Ena, and Xipe. Then, as expected, Aha had a hand in it too, but in a way far beyond my imagination — this fellow wanted to play a prank on Akivili and their Nameless, so they turned into a mortal and lurked on Akivili's train for over a year. Finally, they caught an opportunity and blew half the train and a planet into powder. If I were Akivili, I'd probably want to kill them, but unfortunately, I'm not, and I'll never understand what an Aeon is thinking...
...Aha, no way? They are truly eager to see the universe on fire: this fellow will inevitably pour more oil on it. Since the laughter of "Elation" echoed throughout the cosmos, things have taken a sharp turn for the worse. How could three Aeons intervene in the crusade against "Propagation" in the same Era? It's hair-raising to think about. No one knows what Aha did, after all, the praise of the Masked Fools is untrustworthy — the Data Bank records the story of that gondola, but thinking about it, how could a mortal possibly influence a god? Seriously, the most important thing right now is that Screwllum and I are already starting to get headaches — how can we stop the simulated Aha from influencing the Simulated Universe in turn?
