Rana Kaname(Japanese:
The guitarist of MyGO!!!!!,Hanasakigawa Girls' AcademyA third-year middle school student and an eccentric girl who appears and disappears unpredictably at the LIVE HOUSE "RiNG." She joined the band because she found it "interesting."
She has an elusive, cat-like personality and always moves at her own pace.
Her favorite foods are matcha and soba; she dislikes chives, grated yam, and mint.[2]。
She possesses superb guitar skills, able to memorize and play sheet music at a glance, but her whimsical behavior sometimes causes headaches for the other band members.
Her hobby is playing with cats, and she herself is quite acat-like girl, and even her birthday is "猫の日" February 22nd.Because of this, fan art often depicts her with cat ears.
She is left-handed.[3]Likes wearing loose-fitting clothes.
She is the first character with heterochromia in the BanG Dream! project.
The surname "Kaname" comes from Kaname-cho, Toshima City, Tokyo.

Kaname Rana is the formerLIVE HOUSE SPACEownerShifune Tsuzuki's granddaughter, who has loved the guitar since childhood under her grandmother's influence. In elementary school, she was restless and would run around during class, but under her grandmother's requirement that "she would only be allowed to formally practice guitar in middle school if she studied hard," her grades were quite excellent. At her middle school entrance ceremony, Rana ran home halfway through, picked up her grandmother's old guitar, and performed for her; her skill even amazed her grandmother. During her time at SPACE, Rana was influenced byGlitter*Greenthe influence of bands such as [those mentioned] and hoped to play in a band in the future. Rana's father, Kaname Tsuyoshi, works in London year-round, and her mother, Kaname Uta, also planned to go to London to pursue her dream of fashion design, but Rana chose to stay in Japan. Her grandmother's evaluation of her mother, "Interesting woman" was remembered by Rana.
Later, Rana frequently skipped school to go to SPACE and expressed to her grandmother her desire to "play guitar at SPACE for a lifetime." Her grandmother taught her that "a lifetime is not something to be decided lightly" and that she should convey what the guitar carries to others, but Rana said, "The guitar and emotions can't be conveyed to anyone, only to Grandma." After thinking for a night, her grandmother decided that SPACE should not be the end for Rana and the various girl bands, so she resolved to close SPACE. On the night of the closing, she warned Rana, "SPACE is just a passing point in the journey; a place to belong is created by others, and you have to find it yourself." Since then, Rana did not practice guitar for about two years, until her third year of middle school when she went to RiNG and was reminded by a former SPACE employeewho reminded her that "you can't find a band if you don't play guitar," after which she began to solo frequently in the cafe and noticed [them] discussing in the cafe.forming a band for a lifetimeband-related topicsTomori,Taki,Soyo's,Anongroup.
After Tomori, Taki, Soyo, and Anon started practicing, Rana barged into the rehearsal room and was able to play "Haruhikage" after just one glance at the sheet music, dealing a huge blow to Anon, who could only play chords. She called Tomori an "interesting woman."
After Taki composed a new song, Rana barged into the rehearsal room again and played it, motivating Taki to write better songs, but she then frequently missed rehearsals without reason, causing Taki's stress to increaseIn reality, Rana was backstage, and when Ririko asked, she stated that they weren't in sync yet, eventually Taki broke down because she felt she "couldn't do as well as Sakiko." A worried Anon and Tomori went to Hanasakigawa to find Taki and happened upon Rana playing with a cat, which was when everyone learned that Rana was a third-year student at Hanasakigawa Girls' Academy Middle School.
For fun, Rana decided to join this four-person band for their first performance. At the concert, after Rana finished performing the not-so-successful "Hekiten Bansou" after hearing Tomori's MCheavy essayfound it very interesting, started providing accompaniment and improvised "Haruhikage》Taki: "Don't just start playing the guitar suddenly; the performance should come after Tomori's MC."(However, at that time the band only had two songs: Hekiten Bansou and Haruhikage), which eventually led to all five of them performing/singing Haruhikage togetherThe cat knows nothing; the cat just wants to shred. This directly led to the person offstageSakiko Togawalosing emotional control, breaking down, and running away; seeing this,Soyo NagasakiSoyo also lost emotional control. After leaving the stage, Soyo threw a fit backstage, by which time Rana had already left.Rana: I figured this band didn't have any other songs to play.

Rana, feeling the band's interesting side, asked Rin-Rin-ko to help send a message to gather everyone because she didn't know how to type, and commented that they were all "interesting women." Rin-Rin-ko taught Rana not to say "women" but "girls," and Rana changed her catchphrase from then on. However, Soyo was absent from practice, and because everyone was lost, Rana called them "boring girls" and left the band.
Tomori booked a large number of "trash time" slots in the live performance schedule and went on stage to recite poetry.heavy essay. This very rock-and-roll move attracted the attention of the backstagematcha cornet-snackingRana. Rana went on stage to play guitar accompaniment for Tomori and called her an "interesting girl." Later, she even forcibly dragged Taki away from her part-time job to accompany Tomori's poetry. Eventually, the five members reconciled during the improvised performance of "Utakotoba" and reconciled amidst the singing.
After the members reconciled, Tomori suddenly realized she had booked an extra live show for three days later, and after a group discussion, they decided to perform.During this time, Rana wanted to play the previous improvised track, but Taki complained, "You play it differently every time.". Rana was responsible for arranging her own lead guitar part. That night, before heading to Taki's house, she played "Mayoiuta》while inviting her grandmother to watch the concert, stating that "the feeling of wanting to stay here creates a home, so I have already found my home."The night before the performance, after misunderstanding Anon's meaning of "don't cut paper, cut cloth," Soyo's stage outfitcut into two halves。
On the day of the official performance, the "stray band" performed "Mayoi Uta" and "Mayoi Uta》and《Hekiten Bansou", and received cheers and support from the entire audience; the performance was a huge success. Rana's grandmother came to watch the performance and was very happy that Rana had found a "place to belong" once again.
After this, although Rana still went her own way, she reached a "deal" with Taki after a heart-to-heart talk and was able to come to rehearsals on time. The price was that the matcha parfaits were charged to Taki's account.[4]Later, Rana quit practice without permission because Taki failed to book a live schedule. After Anon and Tomori lost track of her while searching, they encountered Shifune Tsuzuki. After learning about the situation, Shifune taught Rana to do her best until the end, and she later returned to the band's rehearsals.[5]。

While Tomori and Anon went to Sakiko's house, Taki and Rana were at RiNG waiting for the others for rehearsal. Taki, who was flustered by Tomori's sudden question the previous day, asked Rana "What is happiness?". Rana believed that "performances, matcha, playing with cats, soba, and orange cake" were happiness. When Tomori was depressed about Sakiko's situation, Rana played the guitar to distract her.
After Soyo, who had been missing for three days, broughtMutsumi Wakaba—Mortis to RiNG, Rana saw at a glance that Mutsumi had two personalities, one of which was dormant, and then walked away. Surprised that someone could see through her situation, Mortis chased her all the way to the former site of SPACE. While playing with cats, Rana and Mortis exchanged identity information, and Rana pointed to a cat rubbing against Mortis, noting that it liked her, which made Mortis's favorability toward Rana reach its peak. The next day, after gathering at RiNG, Rana played "Mayoi Uta" on the small stage in the cafe, successfully awakening the dormant Mutsumi, but a quarrel then broke out between the two personalities.
After Soyo, Taki, Sakiko, and Mutsumi reached a reconciliation, the four returned to RiNG. At this time, Rana slipped away, which gave Anon a reason to let the members of CRYCHIC perform aSkipped class but lied that today was a day offRana talked about yesterday's rehearsal; Rana felt CRYCHIC's performance yesterday was good, but MyGO!!!!! wouldn't lose either.
When the members of MyGO!!!!! and Ave Mujica gathered at RiNG to resolve issues regarding their future paths, Rana focused entirely on eating a matcha parfait. When Mortis began attempting to play the role of Mutsumi and stated that "as long as I'm in a band with Sakiko, it doesn't have to be CRYCHIC," Rana commented that she was an "interesting girl." WithNyamu Yutenjithe exposure of Mortis's acting, the other members of MyGO!!!!! took the breaking-down Mortis away to comfort her, leaving only Rana behind to eat her parfait. Nyamu noticed Rana and asked why she didn't leave with the others, but Rana instead treated her like a cat and fed her parfait. The next day in the rehearsal room, everyone talked about Sakiko and Mutsumi's situation again; Anon explained the details of CRYCHIC to Rana, who then asserted: "When it's over, it's over. Someone will always create a new place to belong."
After the Ave Mujica reorganization turmoil ended, Rana met Mutsumi, who had wandered to RiNG in a daze, and invited her to play with cats. During their time together, Rana noticed that Mortis no longer existed as an independent personality and chatted with Mutsumi about guitars—unlike Rana, who sees the guitar as a partner, Mutsumi, despite no lack of practice, did not know if she was playing or just acting. At that moment, Taki called Rana to come back, and Mutsumi could only leave with that question in mind.
