History
Hero_Himmel29 years after [Himmel's] death, Genau served as the proctor for the first round of the First-Class Mage Exam, announcing exam-related matters to the examinees before it began.
After the exam ended, Genau went to his hometown with a cheerful and kind partner to perform a subjugation mission. However, while he was out subjugating demons, his partner died at the hands of the Demon GeneralRevolte of the Divine SkillGenau expressed his respect for his partner, but was ordered by Serie to remain "unrelated to kindness."In fact, Serie simply didn't want Genau to die as well.。
Genau was sent back to his hometown for another mission with Methode by Serie. Before arriving at his hometown, Genau acted very coldly and stated that he didn't want Methode to become like him; however, after witnessing the tragic state of his hometown and the villagers, he felt deeply remorseful and erupted with a murderous intent as powerful as a demon's. The two killed all the demons remaining in the village and happened to encounter Frieren's party, who had just arrived.
The group held a strategy meeting. The three ladies went to scout for information, while Genau and Stark protected the ruined church and the corpses laid out within, where they encountered Revolte once again. Although this experienced demon warrior caused them much trouble, Genau eventually caught an opening and severely wounded him. As the two were about to deliver the finishing blow, one of Revolte's subordinates appeared near the church disguised as a surviving little girl. Despite knowing it was impossible for any children to still be there, Genau instinctively went to protect her after remembering his deceased partner and was stabbed. Genau killed the subordinate, but due to his significant injuries, he was forced into a battle of attrition; ultimately, in the gap of being heavily wounded, he exploited Revolte's fixed mindset to successfully cut him in half.
Genau was healed by Methode, who mastered priest magic,the NormReinforcements from the Knights also arrived, and the subjugation mission was successfully completed. Next, the two were assigned to escort them back to the southern end of the Northern Plateau. Genau intended to bid farewell to Frieren's party with his usual poker face, but at Methode's request, he had no choice but to thank Frieren and the others. The two completed the escort mission and returned to Serie's side.
