Yuta's classmate sitting next to him. Although she is cute, there are no signs of men around her.
The most popular person in class according to Utsumi. Described by Utsumi as "the strongest girl who is both talented and beautiful, gifted with both brains and looks. A miraculous girl liked by everyone in class."
Seems to be very interested in Yuta after he lost his memory.

She likes kaiju and believes they are the true protagonists of tokusatsu, yet they are always considered villains. She believes that while there may be reasons, there shouldn't be episodes without kaiju.

Due to herRikkaLives very close to herNext door, used to go to school together often, but they don't interact as much now
In Episode 1, she witnessed a mysterious point of light in the sky suddenly split while on the school rooftopIn reality, it was Gridman splitting into several parts after being attacked by Alexis。
After Yuta lost his memory, she spoke to him and gave him an extra special hot dog, but the hot dog was hit by Tonokawa's volleyball midway.
The next day, she invited Yuta to have lunch together. In the hallway, she was bumped into by her homeroom teacher, who was looking down at his phone; she felt dissatisfied with the teacher's coldness and lack of apology. After the Kaiju Ghubaba was defeated, she saw the teacher apologize to Yuta after bumping into him in the hallway.

When Namiko and Hassu went out with the four-member college student YouTuber group Arcadia, she took the initiative to go along and brought Rikka with her. At karaoke, one of the Arcadia members mindlessly squeezed against her and mistook her profile picture for Alien Baltan (it was actuallyUltraman Dyna's General Joka of the Alien RaybeakInterestingly, the plot of this episode in Dyna is a dream), making her feel somewhat dissatisfied.
During the rafting on the class field trip, she accidentally fell into the water from the raft, and after being rescued by her classmates, she smiled and said, "It's okay." Later, she approached Yuta while he was alone, saying that things hadn't been going well for her latelyand effortlessly extracted the information that Yuta is the Gridman host。

A Kaiju fanatic, she has several cabinets of Kaiju figures and bags of trash almost filling her room (all scraps left over from sculpting Kaiju, no food waste), and she also makes models herself using a utility knife. At home, she wears cracked glasses and headphones while working. She refers to Gridman as the "Guest." For unknown reasons, she is connected withAlexis Keribis connected, and Alexis Kerib helps her materialize the Kaiju models she creates in the real world, using the monsters to attack those who offend her何でも怪獣で殺しちゃうアカネチャン[2], while she monitors the situation via drone. The concepts she envisions for the Kaiju during the model-making process can be realized during the materialization process.
After the battle between the Kaiju and Gridman, the world line is corrected, and the destroyed town will beby the Kaiju using smokerepaired, and the traces of the lives of those killed and the memories of those around them will also be erased, and the cause of death will be rewritten. According to what she told Rikka, she set up this world so that everyone would like her and no one would get angry with her. Even Rikka was chosen and transformed from a Kaiju by her. This is also reflected in the Voice Dramas, where both Rikka and Utsumi state in their conversation that they cannot feel hatred toward Akane even after witnessing her stabbing Yuta. Therefore, in a world where everyone likes Akane, Yuta, who likes Rikka, is like a bug, which is also the reason why Gridman chose to possess Yuta.[3]) |

Her true identity is a resident of the world of the tokusatsu version, *Gridman the Hyper Agent*.[5], escaping herself into the computer world, and under Alexis's exploitation, created a world consisting only of Tsutsujidai, becoming the "God" of this world.[6]. In the world Akane created, everyone loved Akane, but Yuta fell in love with Rikka instead, becoming a bug in this world that allowed Gridman to enter Tsutsujidai, thus triggering the story of SSSS.Gridman. Ultimately, with the encouragement of Rikka and other friends and the help of Gridman, Alexis was defeated, and Akane returned to the real world. In her room, there is a phone with a cracked screen just like in the computer world, and the pass case given by Rikka. The Tsutsujidai originally created by Akane now has an "outside," and Tsutsujidai also became the starting point of the multiverse created by Gridman. According to *Gridman Universe*, the real-life Akane possesses the ability of Instance Domination. Based on the settings that "all multiverses in the Gridman Universe were created by Gridman" and "Tsutsujidai is the starting point of the Gridman Universe," it is speculated that precisely because Akane has this power, the same power appears in the multiverses created by Gridman (such as the Dynazenon universe where Yomogi resides). According toThe music video for the anime OP "UNION", after waking up, Akane goes to school with the pass case given by Rikka, and when she meets her classmates at the intersection, she goes forward to walk with them.A poster of *PROMARE* is also hanging in her home.。 The live-action actress is Coco Nitta, from the fashion magazineRanzuki's exclusive model. Born on August 9, 2002, in Yamanashi Prefecture, she was only 16 years old when the anime aired.A real JK, and five years later, she played Akane Shinjo again in *Gridman Universe*, which continues the plot of SSSS.Gridman. |
After the anime aired, the prototype was considered to be the villain from the original Gridman tokusatsuTakeshi Todogender-swapped. Her yellow-lensed glasses, reclusive personality, and monster-making are clearly derived from Takeshi.
At the same time, just likeHibiki Yutathe character of the same name that appeared in the original sequel project "Dengeki Choujin Gridman F," which was cancelled while still in the planning stage. In this scrapped plan, Akane Shinjo's setting was a high school girl controlled by the Demon King after Takeshi, a point inherited by the anime.
It can be said that Akane Shinjo in the anime is a character further created based on Takeshi from the original work, combined with the name and settings unearthed from the scrapped plan; the prototype does not come solely from the tokusatsu or the scrapped plan.

Akane Shinjo corresponds to Rikka, giving a sense of being detached from the world, and would very easily kill classmates and others around her. Hasegawa had no resistance to writing her as such a cruel figure. On the contrary, to emphasize Akane Shinjo's side as a "symbol of the extraordinary," the anime emphasized her innocent cruelty even more than he had initially envisioned. For example, in the first episode, in the first draft of the script, Tonokawa and the others killed by the monster were actually students who looked like delinquents and bullied the amnesiac Yuta; Akane felt angry seeing this and thus drove the monster to kill them. However, after writing it, Hasegawa worried that some viewers might watch the anime and think, "Akane Shinjo is the righteous side, right?". Therefore, he revised the script to create a motive that would make everyone think, "She killed someone just for such a trivial reason?" After all, Takeshi in the original "Denkou Choujin Gridman" would also get angry and create monsters for trivial reasons like his mock exam ranking dropping. Hasegawa also hoped to follow this as much as possible. |

——Although Akane was controlled by Alexis Kerib and kept creating monsters, when she stabbed the protagonist Yuta in episode 10, she also said, "I want to talk to Gridman too." Is this because Akane herself also has an admiration for heroes? Akane sometimes has human-like parts. But, in the end, it's still describing her "scum" parts, unwavering scum. After all, someone who targets others just because they stepped on their bread doesn't exist (laughs). Although Akane's distortion is a bit exaggerated, it's also to depict her being brainwashed by (Alexis Kerib). So in her, even if there's just a tiny bit of possibility (of becoming a hero), it's fine. ——Does that mean her existence is very close to Takeshi Todo from the original work? Even so, she's even worse than Takeshi (laughs). Originally, I thought I had to create a villain character who could stand alongside Takeshi, which is why I designed such a strange character. However, the part of them being honest people is the same. |
The design's color scheme is derived from the villain of Transformers: Shattered Glass—Shattered Glass Optimus Prime. So in the end, she becomes the righteous Nova Prime.

In the earlier initial designs, Akane's hairstyle was long, while Rikka's was short.

, but note that this doesn't mean their initial designs and current appearances are opposites; rather, the derived rumor that "Akane and Rikka look the same in reality" is also a rumor. In fact, the only similarity between Akane's real-life actress, Kako Nitta, and Rikka is their black hair.
When designing the character, it was considered to "make people think she's cute at first glance." And received the opinion that "IfDirector Amemiyawere to become a high school girl, I'd want to be like this!" And, underShigeto Koyama's suggestion, she was designed with large breasts.
